On my p45 it states that I was on an emergency tax code BR.

I was wondering when will I finally be put on the correct code?. Im currently unemployed and didnt recieve a p60 due to the fact I lost my job before Apirl. When I next start a new job will this code be corrected? Help!

As you were on an emergency tax code, you will have probably overpaid tax and can make a claim.

When you start a new job, you can give them part 2 and 3 of your P45, or if you loose your P45, you can download and give your employer a P46 .
