my wife as just had her 1st pay & works 12 hrs per week she earned £221 for 12 hrs but got stopped over £40 in tax how does she stop her employer taxing her again and get the £40 rebate back on her next wage packet as she is monthly paid.

At the end of the tax year she will be given a P60, when she has this she can make a claim for a tax rebate.
