My husband has two houses in Dublin his name only. We as a married couple and own our home in the uk. We have left everything to each other in our wills made in Dublin and London. If my husband were to die would I be liable for CGT or for normal tax on the assets passed to me. If I were to sell a house in dublin at a later date what tax would I have to pay

we live and work in the Uk. The houses in Dublin are currently rented out.
They are in my husbands name only should we get them put into joint names.

If your husband were to die and the property were to pass on to you, no tax would be due. There is no inheritance tax between spouses.
Capital gains tax is only due when you sell assets.
