My employer supplies my overalls but does not pay for them to be cleaned, can I claim laundry expenses back that I have had to pay out?

You can claim for clothes that wouldn’t normally be worn outside of work, like specialist clothing or clothes with your company logo on.
Also the Inland Revenue says that you can only claim if there are no facilities at your work to do the washing.
All you need to do is write to your local tax office, explaining the situation and you can even back date it a maximum of 4 years.

i work away from home on average twice a week. i get £50 a night dig money. this leaves me with no money from the £50 for a dinner or an evening meal. can i claim anything for the money spent on food, even though i have no reciepts
