TaxFix

Your daughter should ask her previous employer for a statement of earnings on company headed paper. The Inland Revenue will accpept this as a replacement for a P45 or P60.

If your daughter has been on an emergency tax code it is likely that she will have overpaid tax and be due a tax refund.

In April she should get a P60, and she can use this to check how much she has earned and how much she has paid in tax.

I left a previous employer in August 2007. I tried constantly to get my p45 which i didnt receive. I filled in a P46 with my next employer. I have now got a tax letter saying i have underpaid, when i have queried with tax office they are saying I still work for the company I have 2 jobs. This is incorrect, tax office said its my word against theres as I dont have the p45. Can anyone help??
