Often when you only work for part of the year you are eligible for a tax refund because you do not get your full tax free allowance.

Did you get a P45 when you finished working?

If you did you can use a tax rebate calculator to see if you are due any refund:

Just input the total amount that you earned in the tax year (6th April 2009 until 5th April 2010) as well as the amount of tax for the year. You should be able to get this from your P45.
