I have retired through ill health, can I claim a refund as I won't be returning to work

I am a UK citizen from birth. I am permanently disabled and cannot work again. I worked at the same company for 6 years before leaving and I left that employment on March 31st 2011. Can I claim a refund for all or part of the year 2010/2011
