Were you working on the last day of the tax year (April 5th), if you were not you would not have been given a P60.

If you were working on the last day of the tax year you should have received a P60.

If you were not given one you can write to your employer and request a statement of earnings on company headed paper, which can be used as a replacement for a P60.

You only get a P60 if you were working for a company, and if you were working on the last day of the tax year (April 5th).

If you require a P60 for previous years you can write to your employer at the time and request a ‘statement of earnings’ on company headed paper.

my partner works for a small company as a employed worker. When he first started he was given hand written wage slips with his wage and tax and national insurance amounts knocked off. He was only given these slips for the first couple of months but was paid as normal by cash weekly. It came to the end of the year and he hasn’t received a P60. I am now wondering if she is paying his tax and what he can do about this and what effect does this have on him

michala: If they were not given a P60, they can always write to the employer and ask for a statment of earnings on company headed paper which can be used as a replacement.
