The info on the HMRC website as I don't know if I qualify as resident or non-resident etc. I heard that if I leave UK permanently I can claim my taxes back?

If you having been living and working in the UK for the last 4 years you are almost certainly a resident for tax purposes in the UK.

If you leave the UK you can claim a tax refund. The amount of the refund will depend on the amount of tax you have paid and the amount of income you have earned in each tax year.

When you finish working your employer should give you a P45. When you have this you can claim your tax rebate by applying here:
