I am a Tier-1 migrant in the U.K and would like to know if I can claim a tax refund.

1. I believe I can claim Tax Refund when I leave permanently but want to know what is basis of calculation of that amount?
2. What is the normal process duration for above claim procedure?
3. If done through your agency, do you charge a fee? If yes, how much?

In answer to your questions:
1. As you are leaving the UK part way through the tax year, it is unlikely that you will have received your full tax free allowance and you will therefore be able to claim a tax refund. The amount will depend on how much you earn and how much you pay in tax.
2. Refunds usually take between 4-8 weeks and really depend on the back log that your tax office has.
3. We only charge a fee if and when we get you a tax refund, and then if you send in your application within 14 days we only charge 16.8%. If you send in your application after 14 days we charge 18.9%
