If you leave the UK you can claim a tax rebate when you stop working and get your P45 from your employer. You can .
The amount of your tax rebate will depend on how much you have earned and how much you have paid in tax.

mayur: If you’re leaving the united kingdom you can claim a tax rebate.
When you stop working you’ll be given a P45, when you have this you can make your claim by applying here
The amount of the tax refund will depend on how much money you’ve earned as well as how much you actually paid in taxes throughout each tax year (April 6th till April 5th of the subsequent year). You should check to determine if you’re eligible a refund by using the tax refund calculator listed here

Hi, I have been working in the UK since last 7 months (Intra company transfer). Now I am going back to India. But I am not sure, I might even come after few months for next project, not sure. My employer has given me form P45 and told that I can be entitled for any kind of tax refund.
I am leaving day after tommorrow on 31.03.11
Thanks
Pushkaraj
