Often students can claim back all of their tax because they do not earn over the tax free allowance (currently £6,475). If you earn over the tax free allowance you can still be due a tax refund depending on how much you earn and how much you pay in tax.
At the end of the tax year you will be given a P60, or when you finish working you will be given a P45.
