If you do not have a P45 or P60 you can get a replacement by asking your former employers for a ‘statement of earnings’ on company headed paper. Any employer is required to give you this for the last 6 years.
A statement of earnings will be accepted by the Inland Revenue as a replacement for a tax refund.
