Can I claim tax from a student placement year?

i am half way through my university course but have to do a years work experience in between, can the tax be claimed back seeing as im technically a student?

It does not matter if you are a student or not, what matters is the amount that you earn in the tax year.

When you finish working you will be given a P45, when you have this you can make a claim at the end of the tax year.

hi there,

i have query ,that if i am entitled to any tax claim? i am a student and i worked full time for 9 months,whilst on work placement.And now i am again into my normal 20 hours a week job.
